Getting Started at EKU/Student Resources

Whether you are entering college for the first time or transferring from another college or university, admission procedures at Eastern are simple. Students who transfer to Eastern from other colleges experience a smooth transition, as EKU accepts most credits earned at other accredited schools.

1.  Complete an Application for Undergraduate Admission here and follow website instructions.  If needed, a residual (only valid at EKU) ACT is given at the campus.  Call or come by to register for the exam.  To see the schedule for the residual ACT please click here.

Application Deadlines:

Fall:  August 1      Spring:  Dec. 1       Summer:  April 1

2.  After you receive your letter of acceptance from the Admissions Office, please click here to register for an orientation.  Please choose an orientation at the campus you will be attending.

3.  If you have an ACT score less than 18 in English, less than 19 in mathematics, or less than 20 in reading, you will need to take the developmental proficiency placement test(s). These tests will be scheduled the day before your new student orientation date.  For more information on testing and for sample placement tests, please visit the Academic Testing website.

4.  Make sure you apply for financial aid (which includes grants, loans and scholarships) at as soon as possible.  You will need your current year taxes to complete the form.  The school code for EKU is 001963. The FAFSA tutorial can be viewed here.

We  also encourage you to come by the campus and receive a tour.
